Prime Video is skating into steamy territory with its latest book-to-screen adaptation — Off Campus, based on Elle Kennedy’s beloved hockey romance series.
The bestselling novels, which have taken BookTok by storm, are finally coming to life with a brand-new cast, plenty of drama, and the perfect mix of sports, spice, and slow-burn love stories. Think Bridgerton meets Friday Night Lights — but on ice.
When Will ‘Off Campus’ Premiere?
While Prime Video hasn’t announced an official release date yet, production for Season 1 is already underway. The streamer recently released first-look images from the set, hinting that fans won’t have to wait too long to see Briar University come to life.
What Is ‘Off Campus’ About?
The series follows a group of college hockey players at the fictional Briar University as they navigate love, heartbreak, and self-discovery — both on and off the ice. The five-book collection unfolds much like Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton novels, with each installment centering on a different couple from the same friend group.
The first season of the show will follow the events of The Deal, the debut novel that started it all. The story centers on an “opposites attract” romance between quiet, music-loving student Hannah Wells and charming hockey captain Garrett Graham.
As the two team up for a tutoring deal that quickly turns into something deeper, sparks fly — and fans of the genre know exactly why the book has become a staple in the spicy romance world.

Who Stars in Prime Video’s Off Campus?
Ella Bright (The Crown) and Belmont Cameli (Until Dawn) will take on the lead roles of Hannah and Garrett, the show’s central couple.
Josh Heuston (Dune: Prophecy, Heartbreak High) is set to play Justin, Hannah’s longtime crush and the lead singer of a college rock band who becomes Garrett’s romantic rival.
The ensemble cast also includes Antonio Cipriano (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin) as Logan, Stephen Kalyn as Dean Di Laurentis and Jalen Thomas Brooksas Tucker — the heroes of Books 2 through 4, respectively. Mika Abdalla joins as Allie, Dean’s future love interest.
Khobe Clarke will appear as Beau Maxwell, Briar’s star quarterback and Dean’s best friend, while Shameless alum Steve Howey plays Garrett’s father, Phil Graham — a former hockey legend known for his temper and tough-love approach to parenting.
