Jonathan Bennett is excited for fans to see his new Hallmark Channel original Christmas movie, which was based on his actual family.
The 44-year-old actor opened up about his new holiday film while appearing at the 2025 Countdown to Christmas launch event last week in Nashville, Tenn.
Jonathan appeared on stage at the Opry Plaza to talk about A Keller Christmas Vacation, as well as being the host of the reality competition series Finding Mr. Christmas.

A Keller Christmas Vacation follows three adult children, who have naturally gone in separate directions over the years, reuniting to spend Christmas together during a 10-day river cruise across Europe.
“When we were growing up, our dad would take us on a houseboat trip every Labor Day with my brothers and sisters. Everybody gets along, but sometimes they don’t. And my dad would be like, ‘You’re going on a boat trip.’ We would complain about it and we’d be like, ‘Dad, why do we have to go on a boat trip.’ And he goes, ‘Because then you guys have to talk to each other,’” Jonathan said.
He added, “Over the years it grew to be successful and we got closer and bonded. So I thought, what a funny concept for a movie. We took me, Brandon Routh, who is Superman from the Superman movies, we look identical, he’s way more handsome than me, but we look identical. And Eden Sher from The Middle, she plays my sister. So there are three of us siblings who are dysfunctional siblings and we get invited on a Christmas market cruise through Vienna by our parents. When you have a whole bunch of siblings that don’t get along and have sibling rivalry, and you stick them on a boat, hilarity ensues.”
A Keller Christmas Vacation airs on Hallmark Channel on Sunday, November 9.
First though, there’s the premiere of Finding Mr. Christmas season two on Monday, October 27.
The reality competition series, with a holiday twist, follows 10 aspiring actors who compete in a variety of outrageous Christmas-themed competitions to prove they have what it takes to land the next Hallmark leading role — from present wrapping, making gingerbread houses, dancing and even on-screen kissing.
