Sydney Sweeney made a jaw-dropping entrance in a daring naked dress on the red carpet.
The Euphoria star kicked things off in Savannah, Georgia on October 27, then hit up World Series game four in Los Angeles the next night, and capped it all off with a stunning appearance at Variety’s Power of Women event. For the latter, Sydney turned heads in a daring naked dress, proving she’s not afraid to make a statement while celebrating women’s achievements.
Sweeney is also promoting her upcoming film Christy, a biopic out November 7 where she portrays boxing legend Christy Martin. Onstage Wednesday night, she spoke about perseverance and self-belief.
“Every one of us has our own fight,” Sweeney said. Acknowledging Martin, she added, “Christy reminds us strength doesn’t have to look loud sometimes, it’s just about getting up again and again no matter who is watching. Playing her taught me it isn’t the end of the story, it’s about reclaiming it. And to every young girl out there—I hope that you know your power is already within you.”

The actress has long viewed fashion as a tool for self-expression. “Fashion is a really fun way of embracing different sides of yourself,” she explained to People last August. “Some days, I might feel very girly, some days, I might feel edgy. Others, I might feel like I want to be more laid-back. It’s a way of being able to express those different sides of how I feel or who I am.”
Sydney added that she embraces versatility in her style. “That’s what’s so amazing, especially about being a woman, is being able to embrace all the different sides of ourselves, because we are so multifaceted and there’s so much going on,” she said. “I can never imagine being one thing for the rest of my life.”
Addressing public perception, Sydney told Variety this week, “I play a lot of very divisive characters, and I think that a lot of people think they know me, but they don’t. So when people think, ‘Ah, she’s a sex symbol,’ or ‘She’s leaning into that,’ I’m like, ‘No, I just feel good and I’m doing it for myself and I feel strong.’”
“I hope that I can inspire other women to be confident and just flaunt what they got and feel good, because you shouldn’t have to apologize or hide or cover up in any room,” she added.
Looking ahead, Sydney is finishing filming the last two days of Euphoria season three on October 30 and November 2. “It’s gonna be a really bittersweet moment,” she said. “I’m kind of terrified for how emotional it’s gonna be.”
