The original film starred Clint Eastwood and Jeff Bridges in the lead roles, with Clint playing a “bank robber disguised as a preacher and on the run from his old gang, who erroneously believe he double-crossed them. When he meets up with Lightfoot, a low-level street thief played by Bridges, the two come up with a plan to team with the old gang for a new bank job. Nothing goes as intended.”
The outlet reports that the script-writing team will include Enzo Mileti and Scott Wilson, known for writing Fargo season 4. Deadpool & Wolverine editor Shane Reid is set to make his directorial debut.
This project is just one of a couple that Ryan has been announced for lately. He was just cast in a villainous role for Netflix’s live-action Eloise adaptation.
