Indonesia’s JAFF Market 2025 concluded with the announcement of industry awards and development grants supporting Indonesian film projects, providing recipients with financial backing, technical services and pathways to international markets.
The three-day gathering, powered by Amar Bank, distributed 10 awards during its closing ceremony. Support ranged from travel grants to major international festivals to substantial production equipment packages valued at approximately $30,000.
“Ghost Island” emerged as a multiple award recipient, securing sound design post-production support worth $10,000 from Kongchak Studio and editing and color grading services valued at $15,000 from Prodigihouse Ecosystem. The project also received a $3,000 development grant from Visinema.

Through the JAFF Content Market, developed with the Ministry of Creative Economy and Asia Content Film Market, two intellectual properties were selected for ACFM 2026 showcasing: “Elang Hitam” and “World Without Sleep.”
The second edition of the market welcomed 116 exhibitors representing 122 companies, 1,431 accredited industry participants and more than 7,784 visitors from 14 countries. The gathering facilitated 2,433 one-on-one meetings encompassing pitching sessions and business discussions.
“JAFF Market continues to grow not just in scale, but in purpose. We are building a platform that connects ideas to capital, talent to opportunity, and Indonesia to the world,” said Linda Gozali, market director. “What we saw over these three days is proof that Indonesia’s film industry is ready for deeper investment, stronger regulation, and wider collaboration.”
Gozali said that $2.5 million worth of deals were concluded at the market and that the market’s total economic impact was IDR130 billion ($7.8 million).
Variety revealed its hot picks Indonesian films for 2026 at the market’s close, highlighting 12 titles including “Children of Heaven” from Hanung Bramantyo, Kamila Andini’s “Four Seasons in Java,” Joko Anwar’s “Ghost in the Cell,” Edwin’s “Sleep No More” and Yosep Anggi Noen’s “The Sea Speaks His Name.” The selection also featured “Dance of the Damned,” “Garuda: Dare to Dream,” “The Last Flight,” “Na Willa,” “Operation: Pesta Pora,” “Rainbow in Mars” and “Suzanna Witchcraft.”
