The Cracker Barrel 400 is one of the toughest races on the circuit, with drivers covering 300 laps and almost 400 miles around Nashville Superspeedway’s 1.33-mile concrete oval.
Denny Hamlin is favored by oddsmakers to win Sunday’s race, followed closely by series leader Tyler Reddick. Last year’s race was won by Ryan Blaney from Team Penske.
The Cracker Barrel 400 comes a week after the Coca-Cola 600 race in North Carolina, which ran as scheduled despite the death of two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Busch. The 41-year-old had pulled out of the race earlier in the week, citing a “severe illness.” It was later revealed that Busch had been dealing with severe pneumonia that progressed into sepsis, leading to his death.
