It’s been a little over a month since country music star Lauren Alaina and her husband Cam Arnold welcomed their first child into the world, a baby girl named Beni Doll.
Now, Lauren is sharing an update on her life as a new mom of a newborn baby.
The video was a play on the latest social media trend “See how fast I can say ‘bacon avocado.’” The point of the trend is to say “bacon avocado” on camera before flipping it to slow motion and sharing something brutally honest.
Lauren, who is seen holding Beni Doll in her arms, shared on her video on Tuesday, July 22, giving an honest update on life as a new mom.

“No one tells you how hard it is to be a first time mom,” she admitted, “and have so many opinions and so much going on and being so overwhelmed and also trying to soak up every single second of your new favorite person.”
In the comment section, fans were quick to share words of encouragement with Lauren, letting her know that, no matter what the outside world says, she is doing a great job.
“You are doing a great job mama! Keep being you! You are EXACTLY what she needs,” one comment read, “just as you are.”
“One of the hardest jobs you will ever love,” another admitted. “They grow up fast. Enjoy the time you have. A lot does happen. You do have a great support system.”
“Oh, Lauren she’s so precious. You enjoy that favorite special person. Take a deep breath, you got this. Turn around and she’s walking, then school. All of our moments are good, but these are the moments that are the best,” another commenter shared.
This particular video comes after Lauren called out momshamers who left rude comments on a video she shared of herself washing her daughter’s bottles.
“Just because I posted a video of myself washing my daughter’s bottles does not give you the right to shame me and harass me and tell me that I should be breastfeeding my child, when in reality, I’m triple feeding my child because my number one goal is to breastfeed her, but she can’t latch properly, so we’ve been seeing lactation specialists and feeding specialists to try to resolve the problem,” Lauren responded.
“So I am having to bottle feed her, try to latch her and pump every two hours. So mind your business, Nancy. You don’t know me and I don’t know you, and let’s keep it that way,” she continued, before moving her hand from her mouth and joking, “Who said that?”
Lauren and Cam announced Beni Doll’s birth on June 13, sharing she was born on June 11.
“The right words are hard to find to describe how parts of my heart that I didn’t even knew existed were unlocked at 8:44 a.m. when they laid you on my belly for the first time,” Lauren wrote at the time. “I will never be the same. You, to your dad and me, are absolute perfection.”
Shortly after giving birth to Beni, Lauren walked her followers through her nursery which includes several nods to her personal life, including a dresser from her mom’s mom, a dream catcher that belonged to her late step father, a painting her mother-in-law painted, a photo that once beloved to her late father, her great-grandmother’s banjos and so much more.
“This was the man cave before,” Lauren admits. “We’ve taken the man cave away and made it the nursery.”
Lauren also shared that she keeps a little cardinal trinket given to her by her neighbor in the nursery as well because she was told that a cardinal sighting means a late loved one is nearby. Ever since, the singer noted that a cardinal constantly pecks on the nursery window, believing it is her dad watching over them.
