Sarah Pidgeon, Mel Ottenberg, and Hari Nef.

It’s Friday morning. We’re in Paris and we’re on a highway to a chateau for the Loewe Fall 2026 runway show. This is Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez’s sophomore show and we’re curious to see how they’ll follow up their debut last season. It’s gloomy outside but in here the floors are sunshine yellow. Wake it up!

DARA: We’re driving back into the city from Loewe because it’s really far away in a castle as it always is. And inside the castle, there were giant stuffed sculptures of plushy animals, whales, scallops, et cetera.
MEL OTTENBERG: I just broke up a friendship over the giant octopus. I would love to own it. More importantly, I loved the show.
DARA: Yeah, the show had really cool colors. It was fresh and had a nice morning vibe.

Talia Ryder.
OTTENBERG: There was a jacket that was an octopus that is the kind of thing that I usually wouldn’t like, but I found it really fun.
DARA: The octopus stuff was really cool, those weird hoods, the way it bounces—
OTTENBERG: Made it fun.
JULIAN RIBEIRO: I was into this hiking tote for them because I was like, “This is a proper gay guy in his 30s work bag.”

Baz Luhrmann.

DARA: That’s so who’s going to buy it. Show Mel the gay bag.
RIBEIRO: I would wear this bag because it’s a gay guy’s work bag. Non-derogatory.
OTTENBERG: Gay guys spend money, babe.
DARA: They have a lot of disposable income.
RIBEIRO: And they want to buy bags to go to their little jobs.

DARA: Love the purple suit.

OTTENBERG: They’re doing so many looks to really flex and show off and that’s really fun. It felt free to me. The green coat has great movement.
DARA: Yeah. The green coat kind of looks like rubber and it moves so freaky. And then there were those latex slip dresses.

RIBEIRO: Which were the stars of the show for us.
OTTENBERG: This is a good bag too, the bag with the rubber coat.
DARA: Yeah, it’s a good tote.

OTTENBERG: I can’t wear this bag, but I understand someone wearing that bag.
DARA: I like those pod-looking fur jackets. They were so freaky, how bottom-heavy they were.

DARA: Who did we see there? We came in hot, saw Hari [Nef]. Hari was in a fab red swing coat dress. We saw Eva Victor and Lucas Hedges.
OTTENBERG: I was sat between Sandra Bernhard and True Whitaker. True’s so cute. Sandra Bernhard, I’m a little too starstruck to be honest. She’s just such a gag to me.

Antwaun Sargent, Hari Nef, and Edmund Donovan.

DARA: Who made these sculptures?
OTTENBERG: Cosima von Bonin. I really dig them. I think that they were so beautiful.
DARA: Sissy Spacek, icon and legend, was there.
RIBEIRO: Next to Julia Garner. That’s a fierce placement.

Sissy Spacek and Julia Garner.

Ollie Muhl.

Judi Jupiter.

DARA: Oh, and we saw scammer icon, Ollie Muhl. Very fierce.
RIBEIRO: He flew from L.A. for this. It’s like 12 hours.
DARA: Ollie Muhl, octopus coat, friendship breakups, Loewe. Period.
