Getting into the Balenciaga show is like Fort Knox drama but it’s kind of exciting. There were screaming security guards, screaming guests, it was like a scene out of a movie. Inside I was sat with the Sam Levinson crowd—his wife, Ashley Lent Levinson, who I hadn’t seen forever, Anna Van Patten, Adewale [Akinnuoye-Agbaje], and all these people who are in season three of Euphoria. I caught up with Chloe Cherry, stared at Winona Ryder from across the room. Then the show happened and we got hit with a preview of season 3 Euphoria and some very Sam Levinson-coded music. The collection was inspired by the show, they had cast members printed on sweaters (I want to know who that person with the shell hair is), and Sam was wearing a hat with Chloe’s lips on it. There was a little green beaded mini dress with a three-quarter sleeve that was my Edie Sedgwick fav from the show, and the glossy red leather ’80s jacket that sort of reminds me of my mom back then—those were my two favorite looks.
