“Star Wars: Galactic Racer” launched on Amazon’s gaming service Luna day and date alongside the game’s worldwide release across platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S and X and PC.
Developed by Fuse Games, the studio behind the “Burnout” and “Need for Speed” franchises, “Star Wars: Galactic Racer” puts players behind the controls of a range of repulsorcraft in a racing circuit in a galaxy far, far away.
Set early during the New Republic era, the game introduces the Galactic League, an unsanctioned racing circuit assembled by Darius Pax. Players step into the role of Shade, a lone racer dreaming of glory and revenge. The high-stakes racing takes place across “Star Wars” planets like Jakku, the Graveyard of Giants, Ando Prime or Sentinel I.
“We’ve always believed Luna players deserve to be in the action from day one, and Star Wars: Galactic Racer makes that a reality for the first time,” said Jeff Gattis, head of gaming at Amazon. “Luna players can jump into the single-player campaign today without needing to own a console or wait for a lengthy download. And the best part: if they’re a Prime member, they already have it at no additional cost. It’s exactly the kind of experience we want to deliver on Luna, and we think players are going to love it.”
Prime members can start their engines on Amazon Luna on the same day as other platforms and play the single-player campaign.

NEWLY ANNOUNCED GAMES
During RuneFest 2026 over the weekend, developer Jagex announced new content coming to “RuneScape,” “Old School RuneScape” and “RuneScape: Dragonwilds,” as well as an upcoming fourth “RuneScape” MMO game.
Still early in development, the as-yet-unnamed title will “bring the world of Gielinor to life in Unreal Engine, combining the depth, freedom and community-led spirit that have defined RuneScape for 25 years with the technology and game design possibilities of today,” per the team.
“RuneScape Reignited” launches Dec. 2, inviting players old and new to return together and rediscover “RuneScape” with the ultimate RuneScape experience.
Players can get full Reignited Access without a membership from Dec. 2 to Dec. 12. The Plugin API is launching in October, with players getting an early hands-on ahead of official release.
“Hoard of Dragons” kicks off in January, offering a sequel to the popular “Dragon Slayer” quest, “City of Gnomes” continues the gnome storyline, first stated in 2002 and “Secrets of Karamja” introduces a new end game raid. These arcs weave together “RuneScape”’s 2027 content into three distinct story narratives and also include an agility skill rework, new skilling and solo bosses, new area expansions and a new “Grandmaster Quest.”
“Luminance,” a brand-new update serving as a prelude to 2027’s “Blood Crystal Saga,” launches in December this year, and features the introduction of the Elves into “RuneScape: Dragonwilds,” new elven-themed customisation options for player characters and buildings alike and the Prayer skill. “The Blood Crystal Saga” kicks off in 2027 starting with the Song of Rebellion in early 2027. Official modding arrives on “Dragonwilds” in 2027 through a new partnership with CurseForge.

Step into the castle! “The Traitors” fans can now test their scheming skills with “The Traitors: Interactive Game” on iOS and Android platforms, Fusebox Games announced on Monday.
Players begin by choosing a defining trait: the outspoken leader, the adaptable chameleon or the chaotic wildcard, which will form the foundation of your character.
Set across 12 days, 22 players emulate the TV show at the castle by building trust with other players during missions as well as building believable theories during The Round Table.
“When it comes to adapting iconic entertainment IP, Fusebox Games is as faithful a partner as they come,” Fusebox Games CEO Terry Lee said. “Our history is built on story-based, choice-driven games that put players in control, making the deceit and strategy of The Traitors a natural fit. We’re giving fans the chance to step out of the audience and take a seat at the table and tell their own story at the castle.”

Google is introducing “Playground,” an experimental gaming platform that lets users create, play and share fully custom games with no coding experience required.
With “Playground”’s conversational interface, users can create custom games by typing what they want, remixing starter prompts or getting guided support to help them share their creativity with the world. Users can refine the rules with prompts, customize characters and tweak the environment until it’s what they envision. “Playground” is browser-based, games are playable across phones and laptops.
Once a game is ready, users have the option to keep their game private, generate a shareable link to send to friends and family or publish it to share with the broader “Playground” community. Since “Playground” supports multiplayer gameplay, gamers can also see in-game leaderboards and follow other creators to see their latest creations.
The upcoming “Unity Spark Integration: Playground” will soon offer integration with UnitySpark so creators who want to expand their concepts can take advantage of Unity Spark’s robust, professional-level mechanics, 3-D capabilities and the flexibility of the Unity runtime.
